Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised in Queens, Forest Hills. She grew up there. She moved from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her junior high year. Her brothers include Gregory, her elder brother as well as Evan. It was her first position within the business. It was her first job from age nine to sixteen. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among the actors who have received this type of training. The first role she acted in was in Beverly Hills 90210. This meant she had to move out into Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of this film, which established her as an athlete actress. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent, she was able to secure a regular spot on Friends.
